Cable Subscribers to be Hit with New Fee as FCC Rule Could Require a Set-Top Box on Every TV
In Uncategorized on December 3, 2012 at 6:34 pmThe FCC’s new rule going into effect December 10, 2012 will allow all digital cable companies to scramble local channels and basic cable. That means if you have a TV set, HD or not, that currently does not have a cable box attached, you will have to get one. You’ll get one or two free for a year or two, then you will have to pay a monthly fee. HD boxes are currently about $10 a month. Do you have TVs without cable boxes?
